If you’ve ever been scrolling on Instagram and discovered a profile you love, it wouldn’t be unheard of to want to share it with your friends. In the past, most people would take a screenshot of the profile and text or message it or send them the profile name. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could just share the profile instead? You can and these screenshots and captured by Adweek, along with the explanation will show you how.
Step 1:
Go to the profile you’d like to share. You can go to a user’s profile by tapping their username on one of their posts in your feed or by searching for them on the Explore tab.
Step 2:
Tap the three dots in the top-right corner of the screen.
Step 3:
Tap “Share this Profile.”
Step 4:
A list of your contacts will appear. Either scroll through the list and tap the circle next to a user’s name to select them as a recipient, or tap the Search bar to search for one or more recipients manually. Note: You can share a profile with up to 15 people at once. You can also share a profile with a user group you’ve previously created.
Step 5 (optional):
Tap “Write a message…” to add a comment to your message.
Step 6:
Tap “Send” to share the profile with the selected recipient(s). Each recipient will receive a link to the profile in an Instagram Direct message, along with your personal message, if you added one.
